Mother's Day 2010

So this year was my first Mother's Day!  First off, can I say I LOVE being a Mom.  It's awesome in every way.  Even the not so fun ways because the smiles and the giggling make up for all of it.  Back in January (two days before I went into labor,) my Mother in law Gina and my sister went to a tea room in La Mesa.  It is called the Aubrey Rose Tea Room and it is an amazing place.  Here is their website:

Gina and I thought it would be fun to come here for Mother's Day.  Well the owner told us Mother's Day reservations fill up FAST!  So we made our reservations right than and there.  I am glad we did because it was such a fun treat.  Literally!  Not only was the food amazing, but the tea was great as well.  I am more of an herbal tea person.  I ordered a tisane tea that had mangos and apples in it.  I love fruity teas.  It was so yummy!  Than the fresh baked scone was to die for!  They also had bread pudding, some type of chocolate mousse with strawberries and cherry filling underneath in a chocolate cup, and lemon bars.  Notice how I concentrate on the desert stuff? :D  Ok, they had other foods too.  They had an egg salad sandwich, a cucumber sandwich with a peppermint dressing, lots of fruit, soup and some other things I had no idea what they were, but they were delicious too.  Bottom line the food was amazing, all of it!  Just look at the pictures.  How can you say no to that food!?!?!

After that I went over to Don's cousin Shaun's house to celebrate Mother's Day with the rest of the family and I got to see the newest member of the family again.  This little sweet baby is Brodie.  This is Don's cousin Brandie's baby.
